Hans sighs then laughs. “It’s pretty clear this is your first time doing this kinda thing, that’s fine. I have a thing for beginners, but simple answer stick with your boltgun, we don’t want to look out of place. You’re gonna carry it openly, like any inspection of this type, standard weapons are carried in the open, but a heavy weapon will stand out as a red flag. Victoria’s flamer will be fine, only because sisters tend to carry them everywhere.”

“Good plan. I’d never have expected to be running a random purity check, even faked that long ago. But then again I wasn’t expecting to be doing anything. Sorry, drifting there.  Boltgun and power sabre for this mission?”

“Damn. I like my heavy weapons. Can I at least pack some Sternguard specialty ammunition? Other than that, I like the plan.”

“What you call Sternguard Specialty ammo, is simply ammo made standard after the Deathwatch had perfected it, but I believe I have some Kraken ammo around here feel free to have at it. I think I have several variations of the bolt round somewhere in the endless vastness that is my ammo locker. If you can find it you can keep it. But don’t use it all up at once, not sure if or when we’ll get more. But that brings me to this next point, this is a safeties on operation. I want no shooting other than the one bullet Maximus is gonna fire.”

Hans looked over at Horus and shrugged. “That’s why you’re gonna be with me.”

(I know it’s late on a sunday night, but I finally got some time to myself, so for the love of god lets get this started.)

Hans looked at the assembled faces, some he knew, others had shown up thanks to some warp fuckery that, still there was one who was infamous, but he was repentant, thus…

Sergeant Christianus raised a hand. “Yes, sir. How exactly are we going to steal this without arousing attention? I mean, we’ve got a Primarch in our midst-” He glanced over to Horus and unconsciously took a step back- “and if this artifact is so precious, there will probably be a lot of security around it. Plus, the moment we take it, some figurative or literal alarm bells will probably be set off. Not to mention the fact that the aforementioned Primarch and myself both break the eight foot mark in height, which is hardly inconspicuous.”

Hans chuckled and swept a hand over his assembled acolytes. “Ah dear Salamander, you please me with such a question as it brings me to my next point.” He points to the two girls. “Our lovely ladies here will be going undercover as Sororitas, with you, and Vespus here will be liaisoning with them, you’ll wear tabards, that will cover your identifications so they aren’t sure which chapters you’re from. You’ll be there under the auspices to assure the purity and sanctity of the artifacts in the chamber, where they are kept, this includes the helmet. And while you’re doing this, I’ll be distracting the arch bishop with the help of Horus, as an Ordo Hereticus random purity check. Horus will thank the Emperor be wearing a helmet so no one goes screaming for the door. That should make security extra thin, but just to hedge our bets, this is where Max comes in. He’s gonna create a distraction, a fake assassination attempt on the Bishop, and Maximus, you really do have to miss. At which point, Horus and my self will rush him somewhere to safety, the guards will all wig out, and the girls, and you two will gank the helmet and get the hell out of there. We’ll all meet up at this point here, it’s one of my many safe houses, this isn’t my first time on this world.” Hans made sure his eyes met those, of each Astartes, Salamander, Blood Rave, and Luna Wolf alike.

“Thank you, Inquisitor. What should I bring along in terms of weaponry? I could see a Plasma or Bolt Pistol fitting underneath a tabard, but none of my heavier weapons. Unless we can hide one on the premises in case something goes wrong?”

Hans sighs then laughs. “It’s pretty clear this is your first time doing this kinda thing, that’s fine. Ok folks I know we’re doing this again, but we had to give our beloved AdeptaSororita (Lain) Time to let her geek flag fly. Now hopefully we can get right into the good stuff. We gained a new member our very own Devastator who’s also a Salamander.

We’re like the Avengers…

Letting your flag fly my dear, means you’re letting your full on geek come out… By LARPing. Most of the time, even you hide some of your geek, when you let your flag fly, you don’t hide shit. Just like a regiment unfurling their colors to show pride, and position. It’s the same thing, but on a more individual level.

Aaaah, I see! Warpdammit, my brain is not working today :”p But well, I can’t say I’m hiding any of my geek any longer… Not after going by bus in my costume, haha… I was so tired that the odd looks didn’t even bother me :p Anyway, how have you been?

Good, good, just enjoying Memorial Day weekend. Haven’t been doing much honestly, life’s been slow oddly enough… Got more units painted, saw Battleship… Which was horrible.

The Great Cathedral Heist

(I know it’s late on a sunday night, but I finally got some time to myself, so for the love of god lets get this started.)

Hans looked at the assembled faces, some he knew, others had shown up thanks to some warp fuckery that, still there was one who was infamous, but he was repentant, thus allowed. He nodded and flicked the holomap of Hestus V. “This is Hestus V, it is a Holy World, that is less than holy. In the Cathedral held by the arch bishop is a helmet, he thinks it’s the Helmet of the space marine who fought for the cathedral during the invasion of this world four decades ago… He’s correct, but what he does not know, is that the helmet of Chapter Master Rochard, of what was formerly the Silver Lances, is now the deceased Warlord of the traitor chapter warband known as the Blood Lances of Khorne. Obviously we know which route they took. I tell you this, because that helmet was taken from the field of battle by a fool hearty Ministroum Preacher, the very same who is now the arch bishop. Everyone following so far? Good. We believe the arch bishop may have gained his power through the tainted item, and may well himself be tainted. Our objective here, is to take the item from him, without arousing suspicion. We are doing this, to one remove a heretical item from the universe… and into our coffers, for two, to see if he really is tainted. If that’s the case we’ll take care of it then. Any questions before I go any further?”

Hans looked around making eye contact with everyone.

Primarch status doesn’t get removed at heresy, just corrupted

Primarch is part of his creation, not some title.

We’re like the Avengers only better, because we have a Primarch!

…We do?

*Looks him over* Horus is a Primarch damn it!

I can take it. Cheers for the help.

Then lock and load, and carry on. It’s all you can do.
